1. Kids can adjust to anything. 2. Trying to do my hair and make-up with my 2 year old in my lap takes twice as long to get the job done. 3. It doesn’t matter if I go to bed at midnight or later after a show, my children still wake me up somewhere around 6am. 4. It is very hard to get in the mindset, and go get on stage when you know you just left a little baby who just wants his mama to put him to sleep. 5. Kids just really are happy as long as they have mommy and daddy 6. After traveling for many hours on a bus, a hotel room feels like a mansion. 7. It is so sweet to watch my little girl dance to my music during soundcheck. 8. Snuggling with little ones in the morning, in the back of the rolling bus watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is awesome. 9. A 2 year old and an 8 month old sleeping in the same bed, can sometimes be a disaster if one wakes up and proceeds to wake the other one up….it becomes…who can cry louder? 10.There is nothing better than having your whole family with you when you are away from home.

Helping Healing Hearts is happy to announce Carolyn Dawn Johnson will be performing at the HHH Holiday Fundraiser on December 7th, in Franklin, Tenn. The 2nd annual event will be held at the Factory in Franklin beginning at 6PM. Carolyn joins Coldwater Jane, Chalee Tennison, Gina Zavalis, Scarlett scheduled to perform.

THUNDER BAY – Canadian singer, writer, producer and extensive award winner Carolyn Dawn Johnson is set to embark on a multi province tour this fall in support of her recent album, Love Rules (Dancing Lily / Road Angel Entertainment / Universal Music Canada). Released in August 2010, Love Rules is the country artist’s first release in four years. Having taken a hiatus to focus on writing and to start her family, this tour will allow fans across the country to reconnect with Johnson in a way that only a concert experience can.
Johnson will be playing at the Thunder Bay Community Auditorium on October 17, 2010.
The extensive tour kicks off in Medicine Hat, Alberta with shows in four provinces. No stranger to performing, Johnson has toured several times throughout her career. Carolyn Dawn Johnson has found two new loves to compete with her first love, music. The Canadian-born songbird has become a mother twice since releasing her last album, 2008′s ‘Love and Negotiation.’ But somehow in between diaper duty and preparing for the birth of her second child, she found time to pour her heart and soul into new music for her fourth studio album, ‘Love Rules,’ released this month.
“Keeping up with being a writer and making a record and trying to be the best mom I could was tiring,” she tells The Boot. “It was pretty tough, but when I got close to the end of [making this album] and all of the songs and the products were coming back all done, I got excited and emotional about it again.” Read the rest of this entry »
